How can 2018 be over already?! I am still in awe that 2019 is literally two days away. 2018 has been a fabulous year for both my business and my personal life. My husband Justin and I have officially lived together for a year, which we thought never was going to happen due to old job he used to have. We have acquired so many new lifelong friends throughout the year. Our dogs have never been so happy and adorably cute.... just wait for the photos. Justin and I traveled so much in the first part of 2018 and experienced so many wonderful places. We spent a week in DC as our first year anniversary in May. Of course we had to have an anniversary photo session there. July 4th we went to Las Vegas, as cool as that sounds it’s very HOT, I don't recommend going to a dessert in the middle of the summer, ha-ha. We spent a lot of time in doors or in the pool. Overall we had a great year!

Now for the business... holy cow. So much to be grateful for!
I had 23 beautiful weddings this year. 46 amazing engagement sessions. Over 100 inquiries for weddings in 2018, 2019, and 2020. 24 bookings for 2019 4 bookings for 2020. We still have room for more weddings for 2019!
Wait... who is we?
I also added TWO full time lead photographers to my team in August. The wonderful Amber and fabulous Amanda. Both these girls have their own weddings in 2019/2020 and their brides just LOVE them to pieces. Amanda and Amber are seriously so amazing and such a blessing to my company. I trust so much in them and their talent that I had to have them on my team to help serve more brides in the Kansas City area. Amber and Amanda have years of photography experience behind them I am just teaching them how I do everything, which they are super quick to pick up on. Almost all the photos I post on my website, blog, Facebook, or Instagram are a combination of all three of us. It is actually hard to tell the photos apart anymore.

This year alone I have been blogged by 3 wedding companies 4 different times! Kansas Weddings, twice!
I am also printed in two  big wedding magazines! Kansas Weddings and the Knot! I haven't received The Knot magazine yet but I do have photos from the Kansas Wedding magazine below for you to get a sneak peek!

There are other many wins in my job as in I completed 17 styled shoots, 3 of them being ticketed events. I did a gown shoot for Robert Bullock, a famous gown designer in New York. Another gown shoot for a famous Ukraine dress designer, and now we are GREAT friends! I captured so many KC Vendors head shots to help promote their businesses. I also helped many new venues amazing photos of their new business! My job seriously is a blessing not only to me but to so many others and I am so happy to provide my services.

In July I went in on an office space with Alisha, owner of ThirtyOne: Thirty Events and Planning. Our office is located just a few blocks down from Martini Corner in downtown KCMO. Our husbands helped us so much by making the space ours. We put up a beautiful industrial shelf, repainted everything, hung photos, brought in furniture, the whole works. If I could live there, I would. I love our office SO much.

On a last note I have met some of the GREATEST people because of my job! From my brides and grooms to the amazing vendors who make so many of my bride's weddings amazing! Without each and every one of you I WOULD NOT be here happy as can be.

Enjoy my favorite moments of 2018!
